Muse Rumour Continues To Gain Momentum

Well its nice to know we are ahead of most of the internet hey? Muse are now being widely rumoured across the web by an increasing number of sources.

NME have now officially published that they think the band will be next to confirm a headline slot at Glastonbury 2010.

I'm also as good as convinced after their comment in an interview a while back, which was something along the lines of, "we're in talks with Glastonbury at the moment." you can read the post here.

They have also been rumoured for the Leeds weekend, but it would be daft to turn down Glastonbury for Leeds/Reading as its so much bigger and its the 40th anniversary!

If you have any questions or comment feel free to ask. Do you think Muse will be a good headlining act?

Could Green Day Perform at Glasto 2010?

Could Green Day make an appearance at Glastonbury Festival 2010? The band have announced two gigs in England around the time of Glastonbury, and one in Paris.

Therefore they look like they might be available for a performance at the farm.

Admittedly, it wouldn't be a band I would expect to play the festival, but who predicted that U2 would headline? I certainly didn't see it coming!

Here are the dates that Green Day have confirmed:

June 16th - LCCG Manchester
June 19th - London Wembly Stadium
June 26th - Parc des Princes Paris

What do you think about the rumour?

Also note that they used Coldplay as the background music! Do you think this is a subtle hint that they could be performing?

More Tickets For Glastonbury On Sale Soon?

Glastonbury organisers have left us all a little confused with the tickets this year.

After they claimed to have sold out when they went on sale on the 4th October 2009, they later revealed there would be more going on sale in the new year. (This was because failed transactions would be put back on sale.)

However for a short period of time, tickets did go on sale again on the 25th October 2009.

We now very confused and don't know how many tickets are left. Either Glastonbury decided to sell off all the failed transactions early, or they could still have some left.

If any tickets go on sale from now on we are pretty confident it will be in the new year.

We will try our utmost to keep you informed of any ticket information, but feel that the best bet is to keep both the Official Website and the Official Glastonbury Twitter pages bookmarked.

Hope that helps a little!

October Rumours Round Up

October is over and many rumours have been covered regarding Glastonbury Festival 2010.

As this is the first time we have done a round up, this post will round up all the speculation so far.

It will allow you to see what's been going on, without having to crawl through the archive of the blog.

The rumours for Glastonbury Festival 2010 so far are Elbow, Muse, Led Zeppelin, Pulp, U2 and The Rolling Stones. There are probably more too. (Check the Glastonbury Rumours label for the rest)

Elbow - Elbow have been rumoured strongly for the festival, but so far there hasn't be a source to prove it.

Muse - Muse have revealed that they have been in talks with festival organiser Michael Eavis, so they look pretty likely.

Robert Plant/Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin could reform and play following the news that Robert Plant has been in talks with Eavis. Apparently he has a slot, but just doesn't know what to do in it yet!

Pulp - The Pulp rumour is getting silly. One day they are reforming the next they aren't, so we're not really sure how much we should look into this.

U2 - U2 have a seven day gap in their American tour around Glastonbury, but it would be stretching it if they appeared.

Rolling Stones - The Rolling Stones are the bookies favourite to headline Glastonbury Festival 2010, so its pretty likely they will be there!

We are dedicated to providing the latest information about Glastonbury Festival 2010, so if you have anything we've missed please E-mail Us

Please leave a comment if you have something to say about these rumours
