U2's guitarist Edge has announced that the band are keen to leave their mark on Glastonbury festival 2010. He admitted to the Times that he had been sceptical of the "hippy thing" associated with Glasto in the past but added: "If we don't do it now, we never will."
"I'm going along to check it out as much as anything but I have a good feeling about it. I'd like to hope we can make our mark," he told the paper.
U2 will headline Glastonbury 2010 along with two other bands that have not yet been officially announced. Rumours suggest that the other slots could be filled by the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Muse or Bob Dylan.
