Glastonbury Festival boss Michael Eavis is to be presented with a lifetime achivement award at the European Festival Awards ceremony. The legendary farmer who started Glastonbury Festival in 1970 will pick up the award in January
Eavis said: "After 41 years, to win something of this magnitude is something to be incredibly proud of. To still be doing this after that amount of time is no mean feat."
Glastonbury takes a break in the summer of 2012, but will be back in 2013. The Arctic Monkeys are already rumoured to take a slot at the event.
